Learn to Row with Mercy Crew – Summer 2024
Our learn to row program is for girls in grades 6-12 who attend or plan to attend Our Lady of Mercy and are interested in rowing. No prior rowing experience is necessary — we teach you everything. Using ergs on land and boats in the water, we will teach you the sweep rowing technique (using one oar) along with rowing concepts and terminology, and proper safety. Participants will also learn the mechanics of the rowing stroke, and boat and oar handling techniques in small-group sessions with the help of experienced Mercy Crew coaches and rowers.
Students who plan to row for Mercy Crew in the fall are STRONGLY encouraged to attend!
