Learn to Row with Mercy Crew!
Mercy Crew Learn to Row Programs – Summer 2021
For students entering Grades 6-12, who are attending or plan to attend Our Lady of Mercy interested in learning to row for Mercy Crew. No prior rowing experience is necessary. Using ergs, four- and eight-person boats the sweep rowing technique (using one oar) will be taught along with rowing concepts & terminology and proper safety. The eight-person boat creates a balanced environment to learn the mechanics of the rowing stroke. Participants will learn boat and oar handling techniques in small-group sessions with the help of experienced Mercy Crew coaches and rowers.

Session 1 (1 wk): July 5 – July 9 – 10:00am-12:00pm
Session 2 (1 wk): August 16 – August 20 – 10:00am-12:00pm

HS Learn to Row
For: New Rowers entering Grades 8-12, who are attending or plan to attend Our Lady of Mercy
(Students who plan to row for Mercy Crew in the Fall are STRONGLY encouraged to attend at least one session)
Session 1 (2 wks): July 5 – July 16 – 10:00am-12:00pm
Session 2 (2 wks): August 16 – August 27 – 10:00am-12:00pm
