Learn to Row with Mercy Crew – Summer 2026
For girls entering grades 6-12.
Our Learn to Row camp is designed for girls who are new to rowing. Participants will learn the mechanics of rowing from experienced Mercy Crew coaches/members. They will learn rowing techniques, concepts, terminology, safety procedures, and boat and oar handling. Students who plan to row for Mercy Crew in the Fall are encouraged to attend.
Location: Genesee Waterways Center, 149 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14611.
Fee: $150
Session 1: Mon-Fri, July 6 – July 10 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Registration deadline 7/1
Session 2: Mon-Thurs, July 27 – 30 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Registration deadline 7/22
To sign up:
- Click on the session above which will bring you to Regatta Central. Here you will make an account, complete the registration, and pay.
- Sign up for US Rowing membership and sign waiver. See steps below:

- Go to membership.usrowing.org.
- Under Individuals, click Join.
- Enter the athlete’s name, date of birth, and gender.
- Enter an email.
- Enter the club or team name: Our Lady Of Mercy High School (Rochester, NY), USRA Member #1608.
- Click the Search button. Note: You will be sent a code to enter to verify email.
- Membership Level = Learn to Row $10.00.
- Complete Profile, Membership Agreement, and Checkout.
