Mercy Health Appraisal & Parent Recertification Forms

The Health Appraisal Form and the Recertification Forms are due to the school nurse no later than Friday, March 22 in order to allow for the 1 week that the Nurse’s Office requires to process clearances before the season start. A rower cannot practice when the Spring season starts on April 1 until you are cleared by the school nurse. Forms are on the Our Lady of Mercy website under Student Life/ Athletics/ Forms and on the Mercy Crew Website under Registration -> Mercy Health Appraisal & Parent Recertification or click the buttons below.
Forms must be mailed or brought to the Nurse’s Office by Friday, March 22.

Uniforms and Fanwear

Prior to the start of the Spring crew season, it’s time to place your uniform and Mercy Crew apparel and fanwear orders through Sew Sporty, our team uniform and apparel store. All the details of the uniform requirements and the link to the Sew Sporty Team Store can be found by referring to the March 1 email or by clicking on the link below.

  • There is a team discount of 20% off for only the Uni’s and free shipping on all items ordered by midnight Friday, March 15 as part of our team order!
  • All items ordered with the team order will be shipped in bulk to the Uniform Coordinator, who will then individually distribute the items to the rowers.
All orders through the SewSporty Mercy Crew Team Store must be placed by midnight Friday, March 15.
 USRowing Memberships & Waivers

Prior to on water practice and competition, every Mercy Crew athlete must have a current USRowing Membership, (either renew an existing membership or sign up for a new membership) and have a signed Online Waiver for 2019. All USRowing waivers expire at the end of each calendar year on Dec. 31, thus every rower will need to complete this. Every rower must have a current USRowing Basic Membership at a minimum and a completed USRowing Waiver prior to the first regatta in order to be placed on a roster for Mercy Crew and be eligible to be registered to compete.

All instructions and links can be found on the Mercy Crew website under Registration -> USRowing Memberships & Waivers or by clicking on the button link below to access the US Rowing Membership portal.

Coaches will be regularly checking the on-line roster to confirm that each girl has joined USRowing and has signed the waiver prior to registering for spring regattas.

Please complete no later than Monday, April 1.

Swim Test

Each Mercy Crew participant must pass a basic swim test prior to getting in a boat on the water. This is only required to be completed prior to the rower’s first season on the water.

The test can be completed at your convenience at the JCC of Rochester for a nominal fee of $10. The test can be completed during any Open Swim time. Please return completed form to one of the coaches.

All instructions can be found on the Mercy Crew website under Registration -> Swim Test for New Novice and the Swim Test Form can be accessed by clicking on the button link below.

Please complete no later than Monday, April 1.
