Updates – Week of September 25th

MONDAY September 26th  – MEGHAN MUSNICKI at crew!

Meghan Musnicki will be visiting the girls at practice.  This is a Mercy Crew only event made possible by the Board and a very generous anonymous donor.  Meghan was a rower in the women’s 8+ that won Gold for the US at the Olympics in Rio.  She is a native of Naples, NY.  She will share her experiences with the girls, answer questions and the girls will have opportunities for pictures and a chance to row in a boat with Meghan.

  • Meet in Board Room for a brief presentation by Meghan
  • Girls will be going out on the water and have a brief row with Meghan.
  • Board Room for pictures and autographs

PARENTS PLEASE PLAN ON PICKING UP THE GIRLS AT 6:00PM

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN LOWER LOT WE NEED TO KEEP THE SPACES AVAILABLE FOR EVENING ADULT ROWERS.

TUESDAY September 27th –

It’s baack! The Sticky Lips fundraiser for Mercy Crew is always so successful we decided to do it again. Again we are going with Chicken/Pulled Pork Combo dinner, includes macaroni salad, Cajun corn and cornbread.

Each girl is responsible for selling 10 tickets. The tickets will be handed out during practice this Tuesday September 27th. So look for an envelope to come home.

Tickets are $13.00 – cash/checks can be made out to Mercy Crew

The money will be collected at practice. Please have the girls give their envelopes with ticket money to Mary Mitchell by Monday October 10th.

If you need more tickets call/text Courtney Laffler at 716 308 8451 or email calaffler1@hotmail.com

Prizes for Top sellers! $50.00 for the highest seller and runner up receives $25.00

As you know Mercy Crew is a club sport and we are almost entirely self-funded. Among other needs, we are short an 8 boat and it is fundraisers like this that make it possible for Mercy Crew to fund these purchases.  (A used 8 boat can cost $20,000).  Fundraising is vitally important.

Last year people celebrated birthdays by treating others to a BBQ dinner, others thanked their staff.   Be creative-and involve the girls. This is THEIR fundraiser, and we’d like to see their excitement.
